Scovel Taxidermy- a Family Run Business Since 2001

Member Spotlight

Scovel Taxidermy was born when a crazy idea turned into reality!  Rocky and Tiffany Scovel own and operate the taxidermy business located in Indianola.  Rocky is an avid deer hunter and deer lover and Tiffany was looking for an opportunity to work from home doing something she enjoyed.

Hunters work hard to get their kill, and the Scovels work hard to recreate your animal into a piece of natural looking art.  It takes true appreciation for an animal’s natural beauty to capture your one-of-a-kind artwork.  With that in mind, Rocky spends a lot of time studying deer noticing their natural movements, facial features and coloration.

“We take great pride in our work,” said the Scovels. They take the time to get to know you and understand your wants and concerns.  They love connecting with the hunter and their families to create that perfect mount and enjoy hearing the story that goes with the animal.  Rocky usually shares a few stories of his own.  Their motto is “Come as a customer and leave as a friend.”

The Scovels started with deer mounts and have added fish and all game heads, including European skull mounts. When you get that perfect animal and want to capture its natural beauty for life, contact Tiffany and Rocky.  They can provide you with the expertise needed to create your life-like piece of art and memory that lasts a lifetime.

View the professional work of the Scovels in the Chamber’s Member Spotlight window on the square.  The eye-catching display gives every viewer a spectacular show. Contact the Scovels at 515-961-1341 or email at thescovels@netzero.com
