Simpson Students Capture Innovation Award for Crime-Fighting App

Congratulations to two EMERGE Simpson students, Scott Henry and Thomas Klein, who captured the Prometheus Award for their work in developing a phone app through the EMERGE@Simpson program. The Prometheus Awards, described as “Iowa’s premier event for technology,” are sponsored by The Technology Association of Iowa. The young men developed the "Snitch'n" app designed to allow users to scroll through photos of people wanted by police and then send anonymous tips directly to the officer investigating the case. The Snitch’n phone app also was a finalist for Mobile App of the Year.

“Our team went up against the best Iowa, Iowa State, and UNI had to offer and won,” said Chris Draper, director of EMERGE@Simpson. “Through EMERGE, I am certain this will be the first of many Simpson teams to compete and win against the best our state has to offer.”

Morning Mingle at Vintage Hills Cooperative

Cooperative Senior Living - Get the Facts

Plan to attend the Morning Mingle tomorrow, April 23, 2015 at Vintage Hills Cooperative, 600 E. Hillcrest Avenue, at 7:45 a.m.!

The one thing in life we can’t change, that treats everyone the same, and that happens every year whether we like it or not is age.  While some days are more difficult than others, the fact is we all grow older.

Since we can’t change this fact, perhaps a good strategy is to plan ahead.  Whether you have aging parents or siblings or are ready to consider a change for yourself, getting information on what you should do, what’s available, and how you make it happen is important.

Plan to learn more about the benefits of a cooperative community, how and why this type of living is beneficial, and what you or a loved one needs to do to get involved
.

Maximize your Chamber benefits, network with fellow business owners, and learn more about the attributes that make a cooperative community a good choice!  Mark your calendars and plan to attend!
