Warren County Legislative Luncheon

Hosted this Year by the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce


Plan to attend the 2015 Legislative Luncheon on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from noon to 1:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for business owners in Warren County to hear from elected officials about their 2016 legislative agendas. 

The cost to attend is $20 for anyone who makes a reservation by December 1, 2015, and $25 for any reservations after December 1st.  The event will take place at Summerset Winery on Fairfax Street in Indianola, IA.

Spiritual Wellness Workshop with Pasha Buck

December 12th at The Village

As part of an expanded Spiritual Wellness focus during Advent, Pasha  Buck is leading a workshop on Intercessory Prayer, with emphasis on using imagery, rather than words.  Images have a more pronounced impact on the body than words do, so it is helpful to know what kinds of images have a positive impact in Intercessory Prayer.

Ribbon Cutting for Warren County Habitat for Humanity

Support the Warren County Habitat for Humanity in dedicating their newest house on December 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. at 506 West 18th Place in Indianola. 

Habitat for Humanity was founded as an organization in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller. Since then, they have become a world leader in addressing issues of povery housing. It's a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization building with people in need regardless of race, age or religion. Habitat has over 1,400 local affiliates in the U.S. and over 70 national organizations around the world. The Warren County Habitat for Humanity is just one of them.

The Warren County Habitat for Humanity was first organized 20 years ago and has since been building homes and communities for those who need it. They also have build hope in the community within Indianola and the surrounding Warren County area. This newest home is Warren County's 15th house built. Watch for more information about the dedication of this newest home. 

Habitat for Humanity has a new sign in memory of Clint Richey, a member for many years. Come to the ribbon cutting to see it, and learn more about this wonderful organization in our community!

Iowa Food Drive at VanWall Powersports

Give a gift this holiday season by droping off canned goods through December 19, 2015 at VanWall Powersports. The food will go to the Iowa Food Bank.
