Indianola Downtown Assessment

We Need Your INPUT

Excited to share that the City of Indianola, Warren County Economic Development, and the Indianola Chamber are working together to develop next generation plans for the Indianola downtown square.  We are starting by deploying the expertise of three revitalization specialists from the Iowa Economic Development Authority's Downtown Resource Center!

The Assessment is an intense, on-site study of the downtown area, which is scheduled for September 25-27.  BUT, the assessment starts before the revitalization team shows up.

We would like community input, and the more the better!  Please take this short, online survey!  The results are used by the revitalization team to prepare for the onsite visit!

Ger your thoughts together, and plan to get involved. Here's how:
  • complete the online survey
  • attend a luncheon with the assessment team on September 25, noon to 1 pm at the Indianola Country Club.  (watch for registration)
  • attend the public meeting on September 27, Noon to 1:30 pm at the Indianola Parks & Recreation Center
Many communities across Iowa have taken advantage of this service and have successfully developed and executed plans and projects that made a meaningful impact on their downtown districts.  Typical outcomes included improvement of downtown aesthetics, business mix and development, and building rehabilitation to name a few!

This is a great opportunity to revitalize our downtown square, and your input today will help drive improvements well into the future!
