Indianola Chamber Launches FREE Online Shopping Portal for Its Businesses

Look Out, Amazon. Roll over, Esty.

Marketing and selling online have never been more crucial to the health of our local restaurants, retailers, service providers, and non-profits.

The Chamber has arranged for our businesses to have an online store at https://www.CentralIowa.ShowWhereILivfe.com.

Each business can promote and sell products, services, gift cards, virtual products, to-go orders, and more. If you have an e-commerce site, you can link there for checkout. Otherwise, you can use the cart and checkout in place on your new online store.

We encourage every business to list at least one gift certificate, product or service in your online store and then promote www.CentralIowa.ShopWhereILive.com to your peeps to drive shoppers to the site.

Register your business at https://centraliowa.shopwhereIlive.com/vendor-registration

Questions. Call Barb Rasko at 515/ 961-6269

Surplus of Girl Scout Cookies To Go to First Responders

Can You Help to support Local Troops?

Can you help?

All Girl Scout door to door sales and cookie booth sales have
been canceled. Due to these restrictions our local Girl Scout Troops currently have approximately 2800 cookies on hand that they need to sell.

Girl Scout cookie season is not just another fundraiser.  Cookie money is what funds our local troops and organization.  Troops will not have the funds to complete badge work, programming, attend camp, do Community Service projects and so much more.

The local Girl Scouts are currently looking for local businesses to purchase cookies that can be donated to local Clinics, Police Officers, Firefighters, Helping Hands, Nursing Home Staff, Military, and any organization or group you so choose.

If you can purchase cookies, please contact Jennifer Sedlock, 515-865-1186 or send an email to jmbrjs@msn.com. Payment methods are cash, check, credit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

Thank you.

Governor Kim Reynolds Announcements

State Public Health Emergency Declaration Extended

Governor Reynolds has signed a Proclamation extending the State Public Health Emergency Declaration.

The proclamation orders the closure of schools, waiving time requirements as long as school districts put in place a continuous learning plan until April 30th.

The proclamation also extends closures and limits placed on bars and restaurants previously identified retail stores, prohibits social gatherings of more than ten people, and continues to ban nonessential and elective surgeries until April 30th.

And it extends and expands the previously granted regulatory relief and other measures until April 30th. Violating any of Governor Reynolds’ public health orders is a simple misdemeanor.

All substantive provisions can be read below, or to view the document click here.

Additional Announcements

Governor Reynolds announced a free legal service hotline to get your legal questions answered.  Call 1-800-332-0419.
