Indianola Living Magazine Residents' Choice Winners

Warren County Residents Voted for their favorites online and with mail-in ballots.  According to Indianola Living Publisher Shawn Goodman votes were up by 32% with a total of 1,260 cast.

The top 3 vote getters for Warren County in each of 66 categories can be viewed at www.iowalivingmagazines.com. Goodman encourages residents to congratulate the people, places and events that were selected as winners.

RECOVERY GRANT PROGRAM AWARDS $1.7 MILLION TO 292 COMPANIES

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 31, 2020) – Polk County, Warren County and the cities of Carlisle, Clive, Des Moines, Indianola, Johnston, Norwalk, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights have announced the final list of recipients of the Small Business Recovery Grant program to help businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 292 recipients received a total of $1.7 million through the program.

The Small Business Recovery Grant awardees are all sole-proprietors or businesses with 0 – 30 employees that have had restrictions placed on their operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant awards ranged from $1,000 – $5,000, with up to $10,000 for businesses in the City of Des Moines.
