Indianola Chamber launches new #ThinkIndianolaFirst game

People are craving opportunities to connect with each other, and we are limited in what that looks like right now – especially during the winter months. However, we have good news to share! We’ve created a safe, fun activity for the entire community to enjoy.

We are looking for business participation to host our new mannequin friend Nola for one week. We’re encouraging residents to get out and explore town and drive foot traffic to our local businesses and attractions.

The “Finding Nola” game begins Feb. 5 and runs through March 26, 2021.

Patrons will receive clues each week on where to find Nola. They’ll post a picture, tagging the Chamber and Nola’s location with the hashtags #ThinkIndianolaFirst and #FindingNola.

Each week, the photo with the most likes will receive a $25 Hy-Vee Gift card. Every photo receives one entry into a Grand Prize drawing for a gift basket filled with gift cards and other local business goodies.

How do YOU participate?

Your mission is to decide if you would like to host Nola for a week. It’s easy!

  1. Email peggy@indianolachamber.com if you have interest in hosting Nola.

  1. Hosts are asked to donate a $25 or greater gift card for the grand prize basket. Any business can donate items or gift cards of $10 or more to the grand prize basket.

  1. Share our social media posts to get your networks engaged and excited!

Please let Peggy (peggy@indianolachamber.com) know by Friday, Jan. 22, at 5 p.m. if you would like to be a part of “Finding Nola.”

Apply Now for Forgiveable PPP Loans

SBA has reopened the Paycheck Protection Program. Be sure to get your applications in! Most importantly, contact your lender to see what additional information you need to provide them.

First time PPP participants: Find more information here.

If you received a PPP previously, click here.

This is a forgivable loan through the SBA. Note, the program expires March 31 and plenty of funds are anticipated.

PPP Loans can be used to help fund payroll costs, including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay for mortgage interest, rent, utilities, worker protection costs related to COVID-19, uninsured property damage costs caused by looting or vandalism during 2020, and certain supplier costs and expenses for operations.
