New Diaper Bank Accepting Donations


Do you have diapers your child has outgrown?

Over 1,600 diapers have been collected so far for the grand opening of the Warren County Diaper Bank. They take open packages, leftover diapers, and wipes, Pull-Ups, Swim Diapers, and etc.

Fish Fry Continues on Friday

Carryout Only Meals



Indianola Knights will host its annual Lenten fish dinner again on Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the church. The event is open to the public.

Carryout only. Enter the South parking lot from Hwy 92. Please follow the signs.

The cost of the meal is $10, and includes deep fried Alaska Pollock, French fries, homemade coleslaw and fresh baked dinner roll.

Vaccine and Local Distribution Update

The Partnership will host a virtual meeting about the COVID-19 vaccine and local distribution on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 8 – 9 a.m.

An expert panel will provide details on the vaccine's development process and insight on distribution plans at the national, state and county levels.

Featured speakers will include Dr. Meg Frazer, Senior Director of Vaccines Medicine at Pfizer and Ken Sharp, Division Director of Acute Disease Prevention, Emergency Response and Environmental Health at the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Hidden Hearts Hike thru Feb. 21

Indianola Parks & Recreation and Warren County Conservation Board invite you to check out the Hidden Hearts Hike on the McVay trail! There are 50 hidden hearts that will be on the trail until Feb. 21.

FWCC Osprey 5K Trail Run

Get your morning workout in at the Friends of Warren County Conservation Board Osprey 5K Trail Run. Run or walk the trails of the Annett Nature Center. All proceeds benefit new educational exhibits at the nature center.
 
Register here or mail in Osprey 5K 2021 Form with payment to 15565 118th Ave, Indianola, IA 50125.

The cost is $30 by April 1 and $35 after April 1. All participants will receive a finishers medal, long sleeve tech shirt and refreshments. Packet pick up will be 8-8:45 a.m. on April at Annett Nature Center.

Contractors Breakfast Held Tomorrow

The 3rd Annual Indianola Contractors and Developers Breakfast will be held on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting will take place virtually.

Strengths 2 Succeed Training Program

Strengths 2 Succeed is a training taking place in April at the Connect 2 Careers Center in Des Moines. This training focuses on young adults ages 18-24.  Strengths 2 Succeed is incentivized and ends with a 8-10 week PAID work experience.

Strengths 2 Succeed will help with various aspects of career planning and growth including interview prep and mock interviews, resume writing, emotional intelligence, communications skills, and other soft skills. For information, contact devonl@cfiowa.org or (515) 205-9981.
