About Kingman Aid To Abused People
Kingman Aid To Abused People
Welcome to Kingman Aid To Abused People (KAAP), situated at 1770 Airway Avenue, Kingman, AZ 86409. Our mission at KAAP Child and Family Advocacy Center is to provide a comprehensive, "one-stop" victim-focused program designed to intervene and investigate violent crimes against both children and adults. We believe in collaboration, bringing together law enforcement, child protection professionals, prosecutors, victim advocates, medical professionals, and mental health providers to ensure a coordinated response to instances of abuse.
Our center operates with a dedicated and well-trained staff available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm. Additionally, we offer a crisis hotline accessible 24/7, ensuring that support is always available, even during non-business hours. We understand the urgency and sensitivity of these situations, which is why we strive to be there for our community whenever they need us.
At KAAP, we prioritize creating a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals, with special consideration given to children. Our facility features amenities such as a Noah's Ark-themed playroom and examination room, complete with a "hippo" exam table. Every child who visits us receives a stuffed animal or toy of their choice, along with a comforting blanket, to help ease any anxieties they may have during their time with us. We aim to make their experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible.
