Mohave County Supervisor Jean Bishop epitomizes a lifelong commitment to serving the community she calls home. Born and raised in Mohave County, Supervisor Bishop's dedication to public service spans decades, encompassing roles at the local, county, and state levels. Since 2014, Supervisor Bishop has proudly represented District 4 on the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, a sprawling constituency that includes Kingman, Golden Valley, stretches northwest to the Nevada state line, extends north to Lake Mead, and nearly reaches Grand Canyon West.
Before assuming her current role, Supervisor Bishop amassed over 30 years of experience as a Law Enforcement Professional and elected Constable, earning the trust and respect of her community through her unwavering commitment to public safety. Her academic achievements include a degree in applied science from Mohave Community College, complemented by a range of professional and technical certifications, including her private pilot license. Throughout her illustrious career, Supervisor Bishop has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the esteemed "Women Making History" award in 2010 and the prestigious "Lifetime Achiever" Andy award in 2014.
Supervisor Bishop's leadership extends beyond the Board of Supervisors, as she actively participates in various boards and commissions, amplifying her impact on the community.
