Founded in 2013 by longtime friends Andrew Blackmon and Patrick Coyne, The Black Tux emerged from their shared frustration with the traditional tuxedo rental experience. While preparing for Andrew's wedding in 2011, they recognized a gap in the market for high-quality, well-fitting formalwear rentals. This realization led them to create a company that offers modern suits and tuxedos, designed and manufactured in-house, available for rent or purchase through a seamless online platform.
