Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland (KCK), a longstanding pillar of community service dedicated to serving the children of the world. Established under the sponsorship of the University Kiwanis Club of Seattle on October 29, 1947, our club has grown into one of the largest service organizations on the Eastside, boasting nearly 90 members. As a not-for-profit 501(c)(4) community service organization incorporated by the State of Washington, the KCK operates with a clear mission: to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in our community and beyond.
At KCK, diversity is celebrated, with our members representing a wide spectrum of ages, backgrounds, and professions. Our commitment to community service is equally diverse, with volunteer committees dedicated to areas such as Community Services, Youth Services, Service Leadership Programs, Spiritual Values, and Young Children Priority One. Each week, our meetings at the Kirkland Downtown Eagles Club provide a platform for members to come together, share ideas, and engage with guest speakers on a variety of topics selected to inspire and educate.
Central to our mission is the management of the Kirkland Kiwanis Foundation (KKF), a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports local youth through various scholarship programs and initiatives. From High School Scholastic Scholarships to vocational scholarships at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, the KKF is committed to providing opportunities for young people to thrive. Additionally, the Foundation administers the Jack Keller Memorial Fund, ensuring access to affordable orthodontic care for young individuals who may otherwise lack such resources. Through our dedication to service and philanthropy, the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland remains steadfast in its mission to help children grow, succeed, and make a positive impact on the world.
