Things are looking up!
I’m excited to see the Chamber gaining new members. That’s a good sign for the Antelope Valley. Our November luncheon was very well attended and LA County Assessor Jeff Prang brought a wealth of information about our local area. It’s nice to see old friends and start new relations at our lunches and Business4Breakfast; I think we used to call that NETWORKING!!
Please keep your eye on our calendar and check your emails for upcoming events. We are doing more ribbon cuttings, which are a great way to welcome new businesses to town and a great opportunity to do a little networking yourself!
I recently went to the 26th Annual LAEDC Eddy awards where the City of Palmdale won the Most Business Friendly City in Los Angeles County! That is quite an accomplishment, and I want to personally congratulate the City for all they do to win such a prestigious award. Palmdale stood out as they prioritized creating the most supportive environment for business recovery, reinvention, growth and hiring during the pandemic. More impressive is seeing how we as a community of Lancaster and Palmdale have worked to win not just this year but seem to have dominated in the past number of years. The City of Lancaster won this award last year as well as in 2013 and 2007. Palmdale previously received this award in 2015. My takeaway is both Cities are working hard to bring in new industries and businesses to our community-Good Job Antelope Valley!
The Holiday season is right around the corner, and I hope all our businesses and organizations have a stellar 4th quarter. The Chamber has numerous events coming up in the next two months which you shouldn’t miss. Our Holiday Parade is on December 4th and you can still sponsor or have an entry in the parade. Call the Chamber office for more info. Check our calendar so you don’t miss out! God bless.
