Greetings Fellow Members,
We have entered the Autumn Equinox and I for one am excited for cooler weather. It's the time of the year when we start thinking about our upcoming Holiday plans and preparing for a lucrative season of business. Speaking of Holidays, the Antelope Valley Chambers is already moving forward with our Christmas Parade planning, this year's theme being 'Christmas Over the Decades'. We have partnered with the City of Palmdale to host the Annual Parade, and are already accepting applications. We'll need plenty of help to ensure the success of the parade, so please save the date (December 10th, 2022) and let us know if you can volunteer on the day of the Parade.
This month's Chamber luncheon is a special one as it is the Palmdale City Council Candidate Forum. This luncheon is on October 12
th at 11:30am and will be held at the Chimbole Cultural Center. Candidate Forums are very popular and will sell out quickly, please visit the Chamber website to register now to save your spot. Municipal Elections are very important, I hope our Palmdale residents take the time to get out and vote on November 8th.
Lastly, it's been great to continue seeing new faces at our luncheons and mixers. Thank you to everyone that attended and supported the recent AV Super Mixer. Our Chambers' strength is measured by the participation of the members, and I'm confident in our Chambers' direction given the participation I've seen thus far. Please make sure to mark your calendars for all the important dates and again, thank you for your continued support.
Cheers!
Brian Avery
Chairman of the Board
