Free Training Opportunity

The Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce, the City, Main Streets, and the EDC are trying to coordinate a business training event Wednesday, March 29th, 6pm, at the EDC office and are looking for business owners who would like to participate. The training, put on by Downtown Colorado Inc. (DCI), will focus on window displays, store layout, communication, and inventory strategies. It will also be free, however, we need to have commitment by 10 businesses in order to put this training on. 

This is a great oportunity!

A Message from your new Director! 
I am committed to working for the businesses of Leadville & Lake County!  Building the Chamber and expanding our business network will allow us to do more amazing things for our businesses! I have been working hard going "door to door" to meet our members and if you haven't met me yet, you will very soon! I want your input and your ideas because the members are my number one priority as the new Director! Some things I have been working on are the Website, Shop Small Campaign, working with the partner agencies - Economic Development Corporation, The Tourism Panel & Main Streets, working with businesses on creative ways to participate in events an bringing training opportunities to everyone!  I am excited to serve this amazing community and network of businesses!

The Registration is live and the website is up for the 2017 BBQ & BREW FESTIVAL and many BBQ Vendors have already signed up!  We encourage our Chamber members to join in on the 3rd Annual BBQ & Brew Festival this year!  Please contact Bethany for more information on how you can be a part of this amazing event!  The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two learning sessions specific to the BBQ Event to help businesses maximize business sales during this event. We want to make sure this event benefits everyone through opportunities in participating and maximizing profits during the BBQ.

BOOM Summit

The Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Leadville/Lake County Economic Development Corporation, The Lake County Tourism Panel, and Main Streets to come together in a summit to create a plan to collaborate and work together to bring the best services to our community as possible.  Ths summit will be an opportunity to create a vision going forward and to get a clear understanding of where each entity differs and where we align so that we may streamline our efforts and create efficiency.

We have two new members this week!

Eric Wupperman & Christine Street, with Treeline Kitchen have joined as a new business! They will be opening their family business in the Sayer McKee building this spring! Eric brings many years of restaurant experience to Leadville!

Our second new member is our newly seated County Commissioner, Sarah Mudge! In addition to being County Commissioner, Sarah also sits as the Vice Chair on the City of Leadville Planning & Zoning Commission, and is a very active citizen in Leadville/Lake County! 

Please welcome Treeline Kitchen & Commissioner Mudge to our amazing network of Businesses and Friends!

Shop Small Campaign

The Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting the Shop Small Campaign throughout the year! We are currently working on a Shop Small Campaign tailored specifically to Leadville & Lake County businesses.  The Chamber is partnering with Leadville Main Streets on this initiative! Exciting things are in the works! Our small businesses are what make our community thrive! We are building a Movement!
