Director's Corner

Hello Members,
I am happy to report that the Chamber is adding to its membership as more businesses and individuals recognize the need to have an active, informative, and productive Chamber of Commerce serving Leadville and Lake County.

Among other things that myself and the Chamber hope to accomplish on behalf of our membership in the coming year, hosting the Visitor Center continues to be a highly successful component of what the Chamber does.  Greg Labbe has successfully secured funding for at least a third of the coming 12 months, and he is actively working on the other two-thirds of the funding.

The work that the Visitor Center ambassadors have done in welcoming people to Leadville and directing them to the locations, products, and services that visitors seek here has been phenomenal.  They work every day to encourage people to spend more time (and money!) here, spend the night if possible, and recommend Leadville and Lake County to their family and friends.

As a member of the Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce, you have the opportunity for additional exposure to these visitors by making sure that your business or organization's materials are easily available in the visitor center.  Whether it is a full pamphlet, informational sheet, or business card, you deserve the exposure the visitor center can provide.

If you need assistance developing a piece of promotional material for your business, consider contacting the Chamber at 719-486-3900 and we can possibly assist you.

Thank you again, and enjoy this wonderful fall weather!
Jeff McGuinness
