Director's Corner

Hello Members,
Despite the 8" of snow now covering the flowers that had begun to poke through at the Visitor Center, we all know that it is spring, and the busiest part of our year is just around the corner.  As we all prepare our businesses and organizations for this time, please take a moment to review these announcements to see what things are coming up.

Please remember that the 2014 Chamber of Commerce Annual Reception will be held on Saturday, May 17th at the Leadville Elk's Lodge and will feature an accompanying Casino Night.  The Chamber's Annual Reception is one of our primary fundraisers during the year, and this year we hope to combine that spirit with a ton of fun, gambling and great prizes.

With a public Casino Night, this is a great opportunity for local visibility and recognition for your products or services, and many Chamber members have already stepped up with great donations for the prizes and auction items related to this event.  It's not too late!  You can still donate a product or service or prize package on behalf of your business.  Your contribution, financial or otherwise, is appreciated and will help the Chamber continue to play a prominent role in the Leadville and Lake County community.

Please contact the Chamber via email or at 719-486-3900 if you would like to add your business' donation to the great list we are building for this public Casino Night.

Thank you for your involvement in the Chamber and in our business community, and for being a member of the Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce.
Jeff McGuinness
Director
