COVID-19 Coronavirus Update and Precautions

Proper Coronavirus Precautions

As you are well aware, the pandemic known as the COVID-19 Coronavirus has increasingly become more of a concern. We have been carefully monitoring this situation daily, looking for the latest updates and announcements from state and federal officials and agencies.

Many companies have already introduced measures to limit and hopefully prevent the spread of the virus. Below you will find some tips and additional resources to help aid you and your organization in taking the proper steps for your business at this time.

Common Sense Approach:

Coronavirus Toolkit: (very informative and useful, please take a look at the links)
The US Chamber has provided some valuable information and resources in a toolkit format. Please visit the links for more information and tips. We've gone through these and found them to be very helpful and worth your time.
  • Guidance for Employers - a two page report for employers to plan and respond to the Coronavirus.
  • Workplace Tips - A two page report for employers on how to combat the virus.
  • Corporate Aid Tracker - View the corporate aid tracker for details on how businesses are helping to fight the virus.
  • Resilience in a Box - Best Practice Guidelines on how to put together a disaster preparedness and business resilience plan.
  • More Resources - More resources, including consolidated, business-specific guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Point of the Mountain Chamber of Commerce works daily as your partner to help your business be successful by providing quality Chamber benefits. One of your most valuable benefits as a Chamber member is knowing that we are always working closely with our Local, State, and Federal Government officials on your behalf.

With this in mind, we are following the recommended guidelines by the State of Utah and the CDC to help defeat the Coronavirus as soon as possible. The data clearly shows that reduced or restricted contact with others produces greater results on reducing the lifecycle that the virus has in a geographic region. We feel that if we can do our part by rescheduling chamber events and meetings, this will help to get our region and State back on track much sooner. We are concerned for your health and success.

The following chamber events are being postponed until it is safe to resume convening again in larger groups:

1. Smart Cities Luncheon - March (postponed)
2. Connect 4 Lunch - March (canceled)
3. Saratoga Spring Business Alliance Luncheon - March (postponed)
4. Monthly Chamber Luncheon - April (postponed)

Please feel free to reach out to the chamber office with any questions.

Best regards,

Mark R. Welcker
President & CEO
