About Us

After more than a decade of pastoring in Wisconsin, God "divinely dispatched" Bishop Ben & Prophetess Norma to Arizona with a mandate to plant a ministry. They received a revelation from God that there was a remnant of people here that were "thirsty" for the things of God. They were sent to a people that realized they were not only in a "natural desert" but a "spiritual desert"... a people seeking a Word to fulfill their thirst for the abundant life.

Walk By Faith Empowerment Center has been called in this hour to promote the truth of the Word in such a way that it motivates the people of God to seek the abundant life.
Walk By Faith Empowerment Center is teaching, preaching, prophesying and demonstrating that success is possible in all areas of life...faith, family and finances.

Walk By Faith Empowerment Center under the leadership of Senior Pastors, Bishop Ben & Prophetess Norma Washington is dedicated to teaching and preaching the truth of God's Word which is empowering people to believe that with God nothing shall be impossible. The call on this ministry has been empowering people for more than 16 years to go from sinner to saint, from employees to employers, from lack to more than enough, from debt bondage to debt delivered, from victims to victors, from ill to healed and from fear to faith!

Bishop Ben Washington is known among his peers as a man of "great faith and integrity". He has compassion for the seeing the lost saved and has lead many to Christ with his "wisdom and love". This man of God walks in the Gift of Faith...and has been demonstrated in the healing of the sick and seeing miracles manifested in his ministry.

It is his belief that the effectiveness of his ministry is due to the success of a 25 year marriage. He has a foundational belief in leadership that, “if a man can not lead his home he can not lead the people of God”. Their love for God and each other has resulted in an anointed spiritual partnership and effective teamwork in ministry.

Prophetess Norma Washington has recently had her first book "Saturday Morning Sisterhood" published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises. This book is proving to be an excellent tool of assistance for anyone journeying through a life transition. It is currently being used in women's group, bible studies and book clubs. It is a "must read" and a "good read" as a self help tool. Prophetess Norma shares her own transition which caused her to boldly declare "just when I though I was losing my mind...God was renewing my mind"!
