More Information March Lunch & Learn: Coach Jerry Kill on March 27th This Month's Topic: The newly named SIUC Athletic Director Jerry Kill will join us to discuss leadership on and off the gridiron. Legendary football coach Jerry Kill, who led the Salukis to five consecutive NCAA playoff appearances from 2003-07, returned to Southern Illinois University in March 2018 as a special assistant to the chancellor, and his role was expanded in April 2018 to include oversight of Athletics. Kill was head football coach at SIU from 2001 to 2007, leading the Salukis to three straight Gateway Football Conference Championships. Event Information and Registration Mastermind Starts April 1 The Marion Chamber of Commerce will host the second 2019 Mastermind Group on Mondays from noon to 1:15 pm April 1 - May 20 (8 weeks) at Heartland Regional Medical Center downstairs classrooms. Topic: Want to provide more effective support to your employees and co-workers but unsure about coaching? This Mastermind Group will use “The Coaching Habit” by Michael Bungay Stanier to discover and apply the technique of coaching. Stanier uses seven essential coaching questions to demonstrate how -- by saying less and asking more -- you can develop coaching methods that produce great results. Event Flyer (PDF) 9th annual Chamber Foundation Bass Tournament The Marion Chamber of Commerce Foundation will be sponsoring the 9th annual two-person Bass Tournament on April 7th, 2019. The event is a fundraiser for the Marion Chamber Foundation & Scholarship Program. Online Registration 2019 Grad Spree is Coming! The Marion Chamber of Commerce Grad Spree Committee is proud to offer this event to our graduating seniors. We have kept our seniors safe for more than 30 years. This year's event is scheduled for May 16! The cost of Grad Spree is approximately $12,000 with the average cost being about $130 per student.
