United Way impact in Clark County

Marshall is part of the Wabash Valley United Way and it supports many worthy causes not only in Marshall but Clark County.

From the Directors Desk:

The Shop Local campaign is an awareness campaign with the City of Marshall, Marshall Main Street and Marshall Chamber of Commerce members, it was developed to support local businesses. The Shop Local mission is to encourage our community to spend locally and save jobs.

Who does Buy Local support? Everyone! When you sup-port local businesses, our entire community benefits. Businesses and individuals can support the Shop Local Campaign by:
 Purchasing goods and services locally, wherever possible.
 Encouraging family, friends, vendors, customers and associates to Buy Local.

Why Should You Buy Local?
 Purchases made locally contribute to the fund for city-provided services, including police, fire, senior services, libraries, street maintenance, street lights and parks.
 Buying Locally helps creates job in our community.
 Buying Locally improves our economy and the economic environment for all businesses.
 Spending locally means that your sales taxes will be re-invested in our community.
Investing in our local businesses makes those businesses able to nurture our community through donations to community causes and organizations.

Save the date for the 2018 Chamber Annual Dinner- Thursday February 1 at Harlan Hall. Award nominations will be available in 2 weeks! We will begin taking reservations in 2 weeks as well as a list of those wanting to decorate a table!

Happy Holidays!
