Pay with food, not fines the month of November

Marshall Public Library patrons may once again pay with food, not fines this November. Patrons with library fines for overdue materials may exchange non-perishable food items for their fines!  Please bring at least one food item for each $5 in fines you wish to waive.  Fines may not be waived for lost items. The food will be donated to the Ministerial Alliance Food and Clothing Bank.

Patrons may call the library at 217-826-2535, or go to www.marshallillibrary.com. The library is located at 612 Archer Avenue, in Marshall, Illinois, and is handicap accessible.

From the Directors Desk:

Hard to believe we are entering the holiday season! October I was on the road quite a bit promoting our community, painting trusses for the new pool and continuing education courses and November is no different.  Terry and I head to Peoria for  the IACCE conference, host the Chamber appreciation breakfast and then its Thanksgiving! We are still in the planning stages of the Triathlon and Food Truck Festival, but its moving forward.  The Walldogs have been to Marshall to take a look at the location of the next mural-The Marshall Public Library.
We hope you can join us for Marshall's kick off to the holidays at one if not several events going on December 1st. Its going to be a lot of fun!
Happy Fall!
Jennifer Bishop
