Welcome to Carbon Farms, a 1462-acre haven situated outside Dufur, Oregon, where a dedicated team, including members like Rachel, Augustine, Alfonso, and more, collaborates to produce organic, natural, and healthy food. With over 700 acres of lush pasture and an additional 700 acres of Oak Forest, Carbon Farms challenges the conventional wisdom that monoculture is the sole solution for feeding humanity. Embracing regenerative farming practices, we refrain from using chemical fertilizers or roundup on our farm, offering a sustainable alternative in our commitment to nourishing the land and its produce.
Beyond being a farm, Carbon Farms is a community with both for-profit and non-profit components. Our presence at Hood River and the Dalles Farmers Markets in 2022 and 2023 provides a tangible link to the wider community. Through our on-farm store, visitors can witness firsthand the dedication to sustainable practices and learn about the intricate cycles of nature and food production.
