It's 'Safety Last' in Suntree
Suntree United Methodist Church Hosts Silent Film
The image of Harold Lloyd clinging desperately from the hands of a skyscraper clock during Safety Last! (1923) is one of the great iconic moments of film history. On Sunday, November 2 at 5:00 PM, local audiences can experience the comic genius of Lloyd during "Silent Sunday Film Fun" at Suntree United Methodist Church at 7400 N. Wickham Road, 32940.  Unlike other film screenings, the event will begin with the audience following an on-screen bouncing ball, singing some of the popular Tin Pan Alley songs of the ‘20s, followed by a short break with refreshments. Church organist, Tom Taylor will then screen the silent classic while providing historically accurate organ accompaniment. While the event is free of charge, tickets are required and can be obtained by calling Suntree United Methodist Church at 321-242-2585.
