Bob Ingram, of The ParamountGroup.us will be discussing the changing landscape of Internet search. Learn how smartphones are changing the way we live and how we find information on the Internet. Bob will share how to use both organic search and paid search, to get on the first page of a Google search without spending a fortune.

Luis Govantes of L2 Systems will present on Webinar Marketing, which has become a primary source of sales for many companies. Learn how you can engage in this growing business model to generate sales and exposure for your company. This interactive session will provide the basics for getting started.

Space Coast SCORE to host BizFest small business conference and PitchFest competition October 13
Space Coast SCORE (SpaceCoast.SCORE.org), an all-volunteer nonprofit that provides business assistance, will host 2015 Space Coast BizFest on Tuesday, Oct. 13, featuring workshops, speed mentoring and a new business competition with a grand prize of $1000.
 
BizFest is a half-day conference designed to equip local small business owners and emerging entrepreneurs with the tools to succeed. The event kicks off with a buffet lunch at 12 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 8298 N Wickham Rd., and a keynote address by Jerry Ross, the founder of the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando (formerly the Disney Entrepreneur Center), followed by workshops on marketing, financing, business plan development and strategic planning.

The Space Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Space Coast AFP) will host a workshop featuring Lynne Wester, founder and principal of the Donor Relations Guru®, on Thursday, October 15 at Suntree Country Club. Wester will teach professional fundraisers and volunteers “How Cultivating an Attitude of Gratitude Can Boost Fundraising: Putting Donor Relations at the Center of Building a Culture of Philanthropy.”  The four-hour workshop begins at 8 a.m. and costs $25 for chapter members and $50 for non-members. Community of Hope Celebrates Tenth Anniversary
"Mission Possible" Fundraiser - An Evening of Hope
 

Community of Hope celebrates its 10th Anniversary with “Mission Possible,” an evening of fun and fundraising. The celebration will include dinner, an open bar, entertainment, music, silent auction, 50/50 and raffles.
 
The “Mission Possible” event will be Nov. 13th from 6:30 till 10:30 at the Azan Shrine Temple, 1591 Eau Gallie Blvd. Melbourne, Florida. Dinner will be catered by A Chef’s Touch. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased in advance. Be creative, your “spy” attire would be great, otherwise business casual.

Lions Club 26th Annual Tournament for Sight 
The Satellite Beach Lions Club will host its Twenty-Sixth Annual TOURNAMENT FOR SIGHT at the Habitat Golf Course in Valkaria on November 14, 2015.  The club’s proposed annual Activities’ budget supports local, underprivileged sight and hearing cases; community-betterment projects like our education grants, scholarship for LEO’s club member, home-school project, and Christmas food baskets; diabetes research; Serene Harbor; Brevard Association for the Advancement of the Blind; Brevard Sharing Center; scout activities; and Florida Lions outreach programs.  The golf tournament is proposed to generate over $10,000 towards meeting this budget.

GrayRobinson’s Litigation Department Recognized as a Top Litigation Firm by the Daily Business Review
GrayRobinson was recognized by the Daily Business Review as one of eight firms in Florida for “Top Litigation Work.” The program recognizes the top departments in litigation in the following areas: Litigation Department of the Year (Large, Midsized and Small Firms); Mass Torts/Products Liability; Intellectual Property; White-Collar Defense; Insurance; and Labor and Employment. Recipients are selected based on the difficulty of the cases handled, the quality of the opposing counsel, and the ingenuity and diligence demonstrated by the litigation practice.

GrayRobinson was honored for multiple cases including obtaining a class action dismissal for an international funeral home company, and dismantling most of a class action against a hospital whose records were stolen by employees.

The Brevard Nature Alliance Update
The Brevard Nature Alliance has recently added three members to their Board of Directors: Titusville City Councilwoman, Rita Pritchett; Photographer Rob Varley and County Court Judge Michelle Vitt Baker.

The BNA is presenting the 19th Annual Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival, January 20-25, 2016. Festival headquarters will be at Eastern Florida State College, Titusville Campus. The Festival is the largest such festival in the US. Those interested in volunteering for this community event, please contact Barbara Hoelscher, Programs Director at barb@brevardnaturealliance.org  Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to contact Hoelscher for more information about supporting this local event and marketing opportunities to festival attendees.
