Hospice of St. Francis named a 2018 Hospice Honors Elite recipient

Hospice of St. Francis has been named a 2018 Hospice Honors Elite recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst, joining a group of the top 65 hospices nationwide to receive this distinguished award. Hospice of St. Francis is the only recipient from Brevard County to earn this distinction and one of two hospices within the State of Florida.

Hospice Honors is a prestigious program that recognizes hospices providing the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. Elite award recipients are identified by scoring above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Performance Score on every one of the 24 quality indicators measured. This landmark compilation of quality measures included results from over 1800 hospices throughout the United States.

“To be recognized in this way is very fulfilling, not only to myself, but to each and every individual within the Hospice of St. Francis family,” said Joseph Killian, President/CEO of Hospice of St. Francis. “The most important aspect of this award is that the family members, caregivers and loved ones of the people we have been entrusted to serve have independently validated what our organization is dedicated to achieving.  That is to provide excellent and compassionate care to our patients and their families.”
