Grand Opening for Goodwill IndustriesThe Melbourne Regional Chamber and Goodwill Industries will be celebrating the grand opening of their newest store and Job Connection Center in West Melbourne on Thursday, May 15th from 8:15AM - 9:15AM. We are expecting a large turnout of over 100 people for this patriotic themed community event. A light breakfast will be served and Uncle Sam will make an appearance.
To help celebrate the event, the Mayor of West melbourne, CEO of Goodwill Industries and several others within the City and County will be in attendance. This event is open to the public. Festivities will continue throughout the weekend with face painting for the kids, balloons, and door prizes. ** Goodwill is proud to announce their new building was constructed with 99.8% of material made right here in the USA**

The City of Palm Bay Presents Hurricane Expo  Learn what's in store for the 2014 storm season at the City of Palm Bay's Hurricane Expo.
The event, scheduled May 31st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held at Palm Bay City Hall located at 120 SE Malabar Road in Palm Bay and will feature Tom Terry, Chief Meteorologist at WFTV 9 as well as area agencies and hurricane related vendors.
Among the informative offerings are police K-9 demonstrations, SWAT and dive team displays, fire safety house tours, Brevard County Sheriff's Aviation unit, First Flight medical helicopter and a demonstration from Lowes.
In addition, there will be a children's bicycle safety rodeo, fingerprinting, free refreshments and giveaways/door prizes.

Join VM Viera Models at the Holiday Inn Viera on Friday, May 30th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm for "Glitz & Glam - Fashion For A Purpose" Fashion Show. Fifty of Brevard's hottest models will be on the scene on the largest runway in all of central Florida.
It's a night of red carpet fashion and fun with live entertainment, raffles, and networking. A portion of the proceeds will go to Nana's House, whose mission is to provide a safe, secure, loving home where neglected, abused, needy or abandoned children can experience God's love and healing.

Sanctuary Island Golf Fundraiser to Benefit Wounded Heroes Come out and support Space Coast area wounded heroes and special needs children at Sanctuary Island's Golf Fundraiser at Manatee Cove Golf Course Patrick Air Force Base.
Set for Saturday, June 7th, there will be an 11 am registration, with a noon putting contest and 1 pm shotgun start. The tournament will also feature a grab/go lunch and an awards dinner buffet. The cost is: $300 for a foursome, $75 for an individual, and a special price of $50 for E1-E4 active military.
