Mr. Matthews will share an update on Northrop Grumman's Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence expansion in Melbourne. He will discuss what the expansion means for the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce membership and Brevard County.

Calling All Boat Captains! 

The Chamber's Veterans Resource Committee is seeking Stick-Marsh-faring captains to participate in the upcoming Stick Marsh Veterans Bass Challenge on September 6. Here's the skinny; veterans and municipal leaders will be paired with boat captains for a day on the famous Stick Marsh, competing for the largest bass.

The Supply Zone For Teachers Now Accepting Donations

The Supply Zone For Teachers, a service of Brevard Schools Foundation is now accepting donated school supplies for its Supply Zone store at Clearlake Education Center. Among the most needed items are #2 pencils, glue sticks, post-it-notes, scissors, crayons, markers, copy paper, composition books, spiral notebooks and loose leaf filler paper.
 
The Supply Zone for Teachers serves the educational and creative needs of children in Brevard Public Schools by providing a means to transfer donated school merchandise from companies, community organizations, churches and individuals to teachers free of charge to use in their classrooms.

Brevard Republican Executive Committee Council of Clubs Republican Family Picnic and Hob Nob

The Brevard Republican Executive Committee Council of Clubs biennial Family Picnic and Hob Nob will be held on Saturday, June 28, 12 PM to 4 PM, at Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, FL 32901.  Open to the public, this year’s event will be an indoor picnic with air conditioning!  Admission is free, but there will be a $5.00 charge per person for the barbecue.
 
A great opportunity for Brevard voters to meet and greet elected officials and candidates, who will have an opportunity to speak.  Entertainment by DJ Greg Bennett.  A straw poll will be conducted by the Supervisor of Elections’ office.

The Viera Studio for the Performing Arts Presents Beauty and the Beast

Performers from The Viera Studio for the Performing Arts will take the stage at Eau Gallie High School on July 13th at 4 pm. Brevard Achievement Center Meets Key Members of Congress 

Brevard Achievement Center’s (BAC) President and CEO, Amar Patel, along with Patrick Air Force Base Commissary Associate, Joel T. and his mother, Jean, met with key members of Congress on Wednesday, June 18 as part of the 2014 SourceAmerica Grassroots Advocacy Conference held in Washington, D.C. from June 16-19.

The four-day conference brought the beneficiaries of the AbilityOne Program, or people with disabilities employed at an AbilityOne federal employment site, and their family members to Washington for the opportunity to advocate on their own behalf.
