Ready Set Sit is a family-owned and operated dog training and behavior rehabilitation center in southern Illinois, owned by Misti & Josh Funk.
Our passion lies in helping people with their dogs. Whether it’s helping to get a new puppy off to a great start to modifying serious behavior issues. Josh and I take pride in creating a family atmosphere where you will feel welcomed, listened to, engaged in your lessons, and enjoy the process of working with your dog.

Our individual journeys into the dog training and rehabilitation world got started with our own dogs. Long before we met each other, we each had a dog with some pretty big behavior challenges. Dog-on-dog aggression, human aggression, jumping, barking, and car chasing just to name a few. These two dogs led us to seek help from a dog trainer and not only did we get the help we needed but also found a deep love for dog training and rehabilitation.
Countless hours of training, courses, trainer's academies, dog psychology workshops, books, and videos later, here we are. Together, we have a combined 20 years of experience training and rehabilitating dogs.
