Hello Crafty Friends!

We are AJ and Kelli Byerley, we were born and raised in Kendallville IN. We have also raised our kids here, and we love our little town and community. We currently reside in nearby Rome City, where we enjoy the lake. Together we have 4 children and two 4yr old Goldendoodles named Ozzie and Maggie. We have 3 kids who are grown and out of the house doing amazing things and one who is still living at home, he is currently a junior at East Noble High School. In the summer months, we spend our free time enjoying time on the lake with family and friends. In the winter we are busy with our sons’ school activities which include Unified football and wrestling.

A little about me and why I decided Kendallville needed a general craft supply store. I have always loved to craft, as a little girl I would spend time with my aunt, she would always have a craft for us to do. I started out with a cross stitch and eventually moved on to a quilt wall hanging. It wasn't until my kids got older, and I had more time, that I really started to do a lot of crafting. One of my good friends showed me the basics of knitting, there is a kind of funny story as to why, but that's for another day. I then moved on to crochet, always looking for a challenge. I learned most of what I know by watching YouTube Videos. There is something about creating something homemade. I find it very relaxing even when I have to rip it out a bazillion times, which happens. I recently picked up quilting the last few years, I took a class at the CLC and was hooked! I am not advanced at any one thing; I just love to make things, and I am always up for a new challenge. I decided Kendallville needed a general craft supply store simply because I was tired of the drive to Fort Wayne to pick up supplies when I decided, on a whim, I wanted to make a craft. I am the person that needs to touch and feel the yarn and all the things, so for me, it didn't make sense to order it. My store will be family-friendly and eventually, I will have a workshop space to host different teach and learns, craft together, etc. I am very excited to bring a craft supply store to Kendallville, I can't wait to get crafty with you.
