Agri-AFC, LLC was formed in the fall of 2003 as a joint venture between Alabama Farmers Cooperative and WinField United, a wholly owned entity of Land O'Lakes. The JV was formed to give the local cooperative members of Alabama Farmers Cooperative more competitively priced crop input products and availability of new products for their producers.
Since the inception of Agri-AFC, LLC, several additions to the original structure have taken place. The purchase in the summer of 2005 of Farmer’s Favorite Fertilizer, located in Evergreen, Alabama, increased the fertilizer storage capacity and added additional production facilities of bagged fertilizer products to distribute throughout the southeast United States. In the fall of 2007, Agri-AFC, LLC purchased the Chattahoochee River Terminal, located in Columbia, Alabama, to distribute fertilizer in the Southeastern Alabama and Western Georgia area. And in the spring of 2009, Agri-AFC, LLC purchased 12 additional retail locations in Southern Georgia and Mississippi.
Agri-AFC, LLC is headquartered in Decatur, Alabama and currently employs over 300 employees in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. Agri-AFC, LLC has 7 fertilizer terminals, 3 Crop Protection warehouses, 3 seed warehouses, 8 Professional Products locations, a Cotton Gin & Warehouse in Eufaula, AL, and 29 retail operations all strategically located throughout Alabama, Southwest Georgia, Southern Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.
