Elliot possesses a robust legal and business background, earning his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law with a Business and Transactional Law Specialization, and his M.B.A., magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Business.
During law school, Elliot served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Victoria D. Wood at the Napa County Superior Court and as a legal intern at the Arizona Attorney General?s Office. Elliot was appointed by the Harvard Law School Journal Editorial board as an Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy as a non-resident student Journal member. He was also honored to serve as President of the Federalist Society student chapter, and as the Property Law Teacher?s Assistant.
After law school, Elliot served as a staff attorney and a law clerk to the Honorable Vance E. Salter at the Third District Court of Appeal in Miami, Florida. After clerking for Judge Salter, Elliot served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ryan T. Holte at the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., where he gained extensive experience in complex civil litigation cases, handling Judge Holte?s business and Fifth Amendment takings claims.
Determined to return to Arizona, Elliot started his litigation career at the Arizona Attorney General?s Office in the Criminal Division, where he was assigned to the Financial Remedies Section to conduct racketeering and asset forfeiture litigation. Elliot was honored as the State of Arizona?s unanimous nominee for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys? Advisory Council?s rising prosecutor of the year.
Elliot graduated from the W.P Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, earning a B.A. in Business Law and an International Business Certificate.
