Hudbay, Rosemont Project will set a new standard for sustainable mining practices, consuming less than half the water as traditional mines, and reclaiming the site from the start of operations as permanent open space. Located in an existing mining district, Rosemont Copper is expected to provide more than 10 percent of the U.S. copper supply. When open, Rosemont Copper is expected to add 2,100 direct and indirect jobs in Southern Arizona. The project will annually contribute $701 million in economic activity and $19 million in government revenues to Pima, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties.
