The Union Railroad (URR) has been and continues to be an important component in the industrial development and manufacturing business in this region. The URR?s 128-mile network serves a 10-mile radius in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. URR also provides car storage, locomotive and car repair, and a variety of transload facilities, and features several undeveloped rail-served industrial sites.
The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh is 89 years old and is the largest social and educational service provider and advocacy agency devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream community in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh provides services to over 33,000 people of all races each year with the help of the United Way, foundation, corporate and individual donors, as well as targeted support from local, state and federal government.
