About College of Southern Nevada
College of Southern Nevada
The College of Southern Nevada Mesquite Campus includes a Computer lab, Phlebotomy lab, and Certified Nursing Assistant Lab. Classes are available in general education as well as self-enrichment noncredit classes. We also provide dual credit options for high school juniors and seniors, online course support and customized training programs for local business needs. The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) creates opportunities and enriches lives with inclusive learning and working environments that support diversity and student success. The College fosters economic development, civic engagement, and cultural and scientific literacy, while helping students achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals. As the largest and most ethnically diverse college in Nevada, we’ve made it a priority to provide an affordable, collaborative and welcoming environment that allows students of any culture to shine. CSN is a fully accredited institution offering over 180 degrees and certificates in more than 70 academic programs—with 24 degrees and certificates available entirely online. We’re also extremely accessible with three main campuses in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, as well as multiple sites and centers throughout the Southern Nevada area.
Founded in 1971, CSN enrolls approximately 70,000 students each year from 48 states and 50 countries. Students have praised our small classes, accessible faculty and flexible course scheduling at state-of-the-art campuses located throughout the region. CSN is currently under the leadership of President Dr. Federico Zaragoza. Keeping things personal is also something we take great pride in. Our student-to-faculty ratio of 23 to 1 ensures you get the most out of your education. Outside the classroom, we offer a variety of clubs, activities and organizations to keep you engaged and connected such as one of the largest honors societies in the nation for community colleges, an active student government and many student clubs, such as the culinary, floral design and cheer squad teams, that annually compete at regional and national levels. If sports are your thing, our baseball team is frequently a contender and has even taken home a national championship. Our CSN Coyotes are also proudly represented in team softball, soccer and volleyball to round out our growing athletics department.
