Snow College, located in the heart of Ephraim, Utah, is a distinguished institution with a long history of academic excellence and community commitment. Founded on November 5, 1888, as the Sanpete Stake Academy by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the college has played a pivotal role in the region's educational landscape for over a century. In 1900, the institution was renamed Snow Academy in honor of Lorenzo Snow, the then-president of The LDS Church, and his cousin Erastus Snow, who was instrumental in the settlement of the Sanpete Valley. This rich heritage continues to shape the college’s mission of providing high-quality education and fostering personal growth among its students.
Over the years, Snow College has grown to offer a broad range of programs designed to meet the needs of its diverse student body. In 1998, Snow College expanded by merging with the Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center in Richfield, further enhancing its offerings in technical education. Today, Snow College provides an array of liberal arts programs, technical certifications, online degrees, short-term training, and even two baccalaureate degree programs. This expansion allows students to explore a variety of career paths, whether through academic study, hands-on technical training, or pursuing advanced degrees, all while benefiting from the college’s strong focus on student success.

The Center for Global Engagement plays an integral role in offering international students opportunities to connect with the broader Snow College community, participate in global discussions, and engage in meaningful cultural exchange.
