Message from the President Regarding the New Year!
Happy New Year to all NOHCC members and friends! Well we had a fantastic 2015 and are looking for an even better 2016. To recap 2015, the biggest and best thing to happen to us was the joining the Chamber Partnership with Anthony Wayne Chamber and the Holland Springfield Chamber. This in a nutshell, gave us instant access to streamlined administrative services, technical support, corporate partner benefits for member added value, and Executive Leadership in Josh Torres. All the while, we retain our independence and autonomy.
Also, on September 30th, John Escobar became our Past President, and the NOHCC Board of Directors voted to allow me to act as President until our 2016 vote, and I humbly accepted. I would like to take this time to thank John for his hard work, dedication and leadership up to that point. We are better off today because of his leadership.
We capped off 2015 with a fun and festive Christmas party at El Salto, Mexican restaurant in Maumee. Members and guests that came, also brought many toys and financial gifts for Toledo Smart Elementary Bilingual School in South Toledo. Again, a great big Gracias to all who participated!
For 2016, with the help of all members, corporate sponsors, The Chamber Partnership, board members and community members and friends, we look forward to an exciting and better year ahead! Our goal is to improve our member services and support, add value to our corporate sponsors, and continue to encourage and enrich the lives of business owners and members of our community.

OSHA 10 Construction Class Being Offered to ALL Individuals in the Construction Industry!
January 11-12, 2016 Dear Chamber Members,
On January 11-12, 2016, the DSH will offer OSHA 10 Construction in Spanish – in Cleveland (Garfield Heights). This is the first course taught in Spanish that DSH has offered.
This is the first time the OSHA 10 Construction class will be taught by BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene in Spanish. The OSHA 10 Construction certification is for individuals involved in the construction industry (not just safety directors, foremen, or field supervisors). As with all BWC classes, there is NO cost for the class. Please click the links below to learn more about the class that is being offered.

NEW For 2016: Power Up Your Day with Chamber Day Each Month!
3 Events In One Day!
NEW FOR 2016
In order to deliver the maximum amount of value into our member’s day, The Chamber Partnership will now be presenting a Chamber Day each month. The new programming is designed to allow members to pick the time slot that works best for them and join us each month for those events. Please note that you are welcome to attend more than one event throughout the day.
Also being offered on Chamber Day is the chance for people to have Chamber 101 meetings with the Chamber Staff in between the events in order to maximize people’s membership. If you are interested in participating or meeting with Josh our CEO/President and Isaac Lee our Chief Operating Officer during the Chamber 101 time frames, please call Abbey Hall at the Chamber office to reserve your spot at 419-865-2110. These meetings will take place at the Community Center located at 940 Clarion in Holland, Ohio.
The schedule for each Chamber Day will look as follows:
Coffee Connections: 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Chamber 101: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lunch and Learn: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chamber 101: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Business after Hours: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Each one of our events has been restructured for 2016, which will allow for maximum learning opportunities and networking. We look forward to the new year of events that the Chamber Partnership has to offer and we hope to see everyone each month!
