About Mootown Creamery
Mootown Creamery
Mootown Creamery has been Berea’s only homemade ice cream shop since 2004, crafting delicious frozen treats on-site with high-quality ingredients. The star of the menu is their Super Premium 15% cream mix, sourced from hormone-free, gluten-free, Ohio dairy cows, and free of high-fructose corn syrup. During the busy summer season, ice cream is made fresh daily to ensure a steady supply of creamy goodness. With over 75 mix-ins to choose from, customers can create their own unique ice cream masterpiece, prepared on a cold marble stone right before their eyes.
But Mootown offers more than just ice cream! In addition to hand-spun milkshakes, malts, frozen bananas, and ice cream sandwiches, Mootown now features homemade cookies, brownies, and other sweet treats from local bakeries. Originally part of a thriving franchise across Northeast Ohio, Mootown Creamery in Berea became independently owned in 2008 when the franchise dissolved. It’s now the last remaining Mootown, proudly serving the community from its location in the West Bagley Plaza near Marc’s Grocery Store.
Under new ownership since 2017, Mootown has been refreshed with updated decor and refinished floors while retaining its signature charm, like the fun cow-print walls and classic menu. The updated Mootown is not just a place for ice cream but a community hub where families and friends gather to enjoy board games, air hockey, and free Wi-Fi. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, a networking event, or simply looking for a cozy spot to indulge in frozen treats while catching up on homework, Mootown Creamery is the perfect place to make sweet memories. Stop by today and rediscover the magic of Berea’s beloved ice cream shop!
