So let's cut right to the chase ... this is what Six Sigma is and really does … might sound scary but it really isn't so ...
Six Sigma is an aggressive, targeted regimen that involves the systematic eradication of waste and inefficiency along with other types of defects and problems that develop and hide in organizations over time … any organization! If you have people and processes impacting your overall operating effectiveness, then we should "talk"!
Six Sigma and its process improvement methods are especially useful at any organization that is seeking to initiate substantive process improvements to offset economic doldrums that increasingly challenge our daily business operations. As a matter of fact, at a recent O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon, an integral leader of global commerce and the Dean of Webster University’s Walker School of Business and Technology, Dr. Benjamin Akande, reiterated similar logic when he recommended that “Given the challenges of our Post "Great Recession" economy, businesses must remain relevant by stretching their goals and continuing to challenge the status quo … even up to and including the possibility of reinventing themselves if necessary to avoid going out of business. Per Dr. Akande, the most successful “reinvented businesses” will be those with “innovative productivity improvements implemented that will transform their ongoing businesses into proactive operations that are technology and knowledge centric, relationship based entities!” ... which sounds a lot like the benefits of Six Sigma to me!
