About Us

Welcome to First Baptist Academy. I am glad you are here! First Baptist Academy is a ministry of First Baptist Church, Dallas, located in the center of beautiful downtown Dallas. FBA has been a Christ-centered college preparatory institution of distinction since it was established in 1972. Honoring God in every aspect of our school exemplifies the spirit of FBA and the legacy forged by decades of students, faculty, and parents. As a Christian school, we encourage our scholars to live their lives on the great principles and convictions of biblical truth. Our motivated and talented faculty and staff are committed to excellence and dedicated to impacting the hearts and minds of our students for Christ.

We honor God by our commitment to provide all FBA students with a rigorous college preparatory academic program, rich in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. We have been quite accomplished in our academic achievement throughout the years. FBA graduates have been accepted to and excelled in over 100 colleges and universities across the country. FBA students are also actively engaged in our school’s exceptional fine arts and accomplished extra-curricular programs.

What sets First Baptist Academy apart is that we encourage our students to be much more than just academically prepared for college and ready to put that knowledge into practice by their active involvement in a variety of local, state, and world mission opportunities. We are educating, training, and inspiring our students to be servant leaders and to impact their culture for Christ.

Beginning with the first day you walk your 4-year-old through the door at First Baptist Academy until the day you watch them proudly walk across the stage at graduation, we will partner with you to ensure your child is well prepared to accomplish all that God has planned for them. One of the greatest blessings at First Baptist Academy is the strong family community within our school. We have many school parents that attended FBA and now have their children attending. Many of our school alumni have come back and now teach, work, or volunteer at FBA. God has filled this school with His spirit throughout the years, and He has blessed First Baptist Academy with a firm foundation, deeply rooted in Christ.
