About Us

Gateway Insurance Partners was founded in 2020 by co-founders, Tim Nolan and Joe Kuenne.  They both were already in the insurance and financial business however, they only knew each other throuhg their older sons' club soccer team.  Through further discussion about their respective careers as independent insurance advisors, they decided to join forces in late 2020 to create a partnership that would excel at mainly assisting federal employees with their retirement.  

Tim and Joe have a combined over 30 years of industry experience along with over 30 years of management and leadership roles.  Gateway Insurance Partners has grown to be one of the premier resources for all federal employees to help them understand their benefits and retirement options.  

Gateway Insurance Partners has welcomed a number of associates over the years that have over 20 years of industry experience who at one time, were under a captive agency or insurance company.  Our independent associates are non-captive and have the ability to broker their business through the many contracts we hold with various carriers.  The insurance brokers with Gateway offer solutions in many areas including but not limited to: Medicare, Life Insurance, Long-term Care and Retirement Services.  Our unique marketing offers our associates a niche market in the federal space whereas most captive and other independent agents may not have the experience to assist those clients.  We do not recommend our associates prey on their friends and family and rather use our proven marketing system to work primarily in the federal community. 

Gateway Insurance Partners is a proud supporter of the United Postmasters and Managers of America union and has assisted many postal employees with their retirement.  We do work in the private sector as well when referrals are passed our way.  We'd love the opportunity to meet with you and introduce our services!
