Annette Pierce, age 55 of Genola, died peacefully, Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 18, 1956, in Provo to Arlo E. and Elva Pierce. She married Corey Marrott, June 14, 1974. They were later divorced but remained dear friends. She later met her life partner, Brian Hoagland, and they spent many happy years and adventures together.

McDonald's, Business of the Month May 2012

 Payson City McDonald’s Restaurant

Clark Stringham and Doug Johnson have been the owner/operators of the Payson City McDonald’s Restaurant since 2005. McDonald’s is proud to be a part of the community that they serve. They currently employee 60 great people at this restaurant.

Clark has been part of the McDonald’s system for 38 years and Doug has been for 27 years. McDonald’s restaurant is located at the mouth of Payson’s Historic North Main Street Business District. A substantial portion of their business comes from the traveling public, which benefits surrounding businesses as well. This brings significant tax revenue into the city which funds schools, city services, and other programs. McDonald’s is one of the largest single sources of sales tax generators in Payson City.
Over the last several years, McDonald’s has made a significant re-investment effort to modernize and beautify the restaurant, which in turn has contributed to a welcoming and beautiful gateway to Payson City. This has helped maintain the economic vibrancy of Payson’s Historic North Main Street Business District.

Clark and Doug were founding members of the Intermountain Ronald McDonald House located in Salt Lake City.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area provides a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at area hospitals, as well as providing support to other programs that assist children in our community.
Over the years, families from our community have benefited from the Ronald McDonald House at critical and trying times of their lives.
