Meet Pat and Beverly
Fresh Start is all about women helping women, and it?s been a true passion project for founders and sisters, Pat Petznick and Beverly Stewart. Pat and Beverly watched their grandmother become the sole support of their family and vowed to one day support women who found themselves in similar circumstances.
Over the years, the Arizona natives became ardent community activists on behalf of women. In 1992, Pat and Beverly were in a position to personally and professionally reach out to women in need and initially offered a day of pampering each month at the salon they co-owned, inviting 20 women to boost their confidence and self-esteem. Later that year, Fresh Start Women?s Foundation was officially born. In the early years, the foundation focused on fundraising and granting money to Arizona nonprofits serving women in need. Over time, Pat and Beverly realized there were big gaps in women's programs being offered in our community.

Fresh Start is all about women helping women, and it?s been a true passion project for founders and sisters, Pat Petznick and Beverly Stewart. Pat and Beverly watched their grandmother become the sole support of their family and vowed to one day support women who found themselves in similar circumstances.
Over the years, the Arizona natives became ardent community activists on behalf of women. In 1992, Pat and Beverly were in a position to personally and professionally reach out to women in need and initially offered a day of pampering each month at the salon they co-owned, inviting 20 women to boost their confidence and self-esteem. Later that year, Fresh Start Women?s Foundation was officially born. In the early years, the foundation focused on fundraising and granting money to Arizona nonprofits serving women in need. Over time, Pat and Beverly realized there were big gaps in women's programs being offered in our community.

Central Arizona Project (CAP) is Arizona's single largest resource for renewable water supplies. CAP is designed to bring about 1.5 million acre-feet of water from the Colorado River to Central and Southern Arizona every year. More than 5 million people, or more than 80% of the state's population, live in Maricopa, Pima and Pinal counties, where CAP water is delivered. CAP carries water from Lake Havasu near Parker to the southern boundary of the San Xavier Indian Reservation southwest of Tucson. It is a 336-mile long system of aqueducts, tunnels, pumping plants and pipelines and is the largest single resource of renewable water supplies in Arizona.

When we approach a new site our certified biohazard cleanup technicians start by performing a hazard assessment, as recommended by OSHA, to determine the level of risk posed to technicians and others present at crime scene, accident or death scene or hoarder home.
All technicians wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and enter the scene. Universal precautions are taken, which means that all scenes are treated as hazardous or as containing potentially infectious materials requiring appropriate PPE and specific levels of disinfection. An initial evaluation of work to be performed is conducted and a time estimate is provided to the client. Technicians will typically ask for residents to exit the property or find a safe area for them while the initial assessment takes place and the cleanup process begins.
