If you’ve been in and around the Chamber in the last week, you’ve seen some exciting things happening.
Starting with last Wednesday’s luncheon, we heard Janice Palmer from the Helios Education Foundation, Dr. Denton Santarelli from Peoria Unified School District and Kathy Knecht, President Elect of the Peoria School Board provide a very informative explanation of Prop 123 and the potential effect it could have on the Peoria School District. All I can say is get out and vote and make your voice heard!
Tuesday’s Networking Breakfast at Trine University had a great turnout of over 40 people! Everyone who came received a contact list of all the people in attendance and along with this week’s list, we have included some options discussed on a new format for the networking events.
One of our newest members, Chris Lucidi from Lucidi Distilling Company at Historic Fire Station No.1 in Old Town Peoria (8307 W. Washington St), is looking to have a crowd join him at 8:30 am Friday morning (4/22) while Ch 3 TV Morning Show pays him a visit. If you have a few minutes on your way to work, stop in to be part of the program!
Friday morning is the first planning meeting for our new Women’s Networking Group. If you want to be part of its formation, give Ruby Rojas a call at our office.
Until next week…
