August 2016

President's Corner

Hi Everyone!

Back from vacation feeling well rested and ready to rock and roll again.  Tell the truth, how many of you are thrilled to death that your children are back in school?  I’m pretty sure I heard a collective sigh of relief throughout Peoria!

Rumor has it that the opening party at Headquarters Grill Bar Sushi was a HUGE success.  Everyone said the food was exceptional, the beer was cold and they have more TV’s than you can imagine.  I’m thinking I’ve found my new place for watching football!

Our $10 Million Shootout Golf Classic is rapidly approaching – sign up your foursome before August 26th and save $10 a person. See all the details in the right hand column.

The Biz 2 Biz Expo is coming up on Thursday, August 25th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Wigwam Resort.  The six West Valley Chambers host it and it’s a great opportunity to showcase your business for a minimum cost.  It’s free to the public and last I heard they’re expecting well in excess of 400.  More details in the right column.

We’ve just confirmed an after work Happy Hour Mixer at The Lucidi Distilling Co in Old Town Peoria.  Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 30th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  The Distillery is located in Fire Station No.1 at 8307 W. Washington.  It’s open to Chamber Members and Non-Members and FREE to attend, all you pay for is your beverage.  This place is awesome so if you haven’t been there yet, this is the perfect opportunity.  Come mingle and have fun with your fellow Peoria business owners!
