Weekly Newsletter 9/14

September 2016

President's Corner

Our Shootout Golf Classic is a week from this Friday on September 23rd out at Trilogy Golf Club in Vistancia.

We have some incredible prizes and that’s not even counting the chances to win HUGE cash prizes. Take a look at the column to the right and check out all the prizes!

You can take a whack at shooting the Golf Ball Launcher that can send the ball up to 350 yards or hitting the kayak and winning a golf club travel bag.

We still have a few foursomes left as of today and we can still use more items for the Golfer’s Swag Bags if you’re looking for a way to get the word out on your business.  A raffle gift valued over $50 gets your business listed in the program and listed on the Chamber website with a clickable link to your website that will stay until next year’s tournament.  It can be gifts or gift cards, anything is welcome. Call Ashley in our office and let her know what you would like to donate.

This coming Wednesday, September 21st at 6:00 pm the Chamber is hosting an amazing presentation on this year’s Chamber Discoveries trip to Amalfi and Pompeii.  The presentation will begin at 6:00 pm at the Chamber office, located at 16165 N 83rd Avenue in Suite 101 in Peoria 85382.  Come and enjoy food and refreshments while learning more on these beautiful Italian cities and the details on this specially priced trip.

SAVE THE DATE – Friday, November 4th is this year’s Wine & Cigars Under the Stars.  It’s being hosted by Mercedes Benz of Arrowhead on Bell Road from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.  This event raises money to present two graduating JROTC Cadets with scholarships, one from Peoria High School and one from Cactus High School. Watch this newsletter for more details.

Until next week…..

SCAM Alert

I shared news at today’s luncheon about a new email scam hitting your inbox. I received an email this morning advising me of a photo radar ticket I had not responded to.  For verification I could click on the links shown and view the ticket and the photo.  It was on a date that I could not have received the ticket so I did not click on anything.  I’m sure if I had I would have been infected with a virus of some sort.  Be careful and stay alert to anything that looks phony!
