The weather has broken, YEA! Now for the pleasure of the next 8 months.
Big things happening this week and next.
First up the Ribbon Cutting for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s Realty it’s taking place today from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the Ribbon Cutting promptly at 5:00pm. It’s being held in a 7100sq.ft. $2,000,000 home at 6531 W. Gold Mountain Pass in Phoenix 85083. You need to come to this just to see this awesome house. Cocktails and catering is being done by Lucidi Distilling Company.
The Chamber is starting something new! It’s called a PCC Rush and once or twice a month we will plan a Rush for either a lunch or Happy Hour. Nothing formal, fancy or stuffy just a fun drop-in time to meet with other Chamber members while visiting Chamber member businesses. No registration for the Happy Hours but we are asking people to register for the lunch just so our hosts know what to expect. Remember there is no cost to attend you just pay what you order.
First up is the Twisted Italian next Thursday October 13th from 11:30 to 1:00pm. Twisted Italian is located at 9940 W. Happy Valley Pkwy, Peoria 85383. If you plan to go out for lunch that day come up and join us!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Wine & Cigars Under the Stars is scheduled for Friday Night November 4th from 6:00 to 9:00pm. We have some great speakers lined up beginning with Ron Sites the CEO of Fighter Country Partnership with a few special surprises to come. They’ll be a flyer with details and Sponsorship information coming out soon!

City of Peoria Event
Drop Off Hazardous Waste on Oct. 15
The City of Peoria is hosting another household hazardous waste event on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at the City of Peoria Municipal Operations Complex, located at 8850 N. 79th Ave. Materials such as household cleaners, pesticides, oil-based paints, computers, televisions, stereos, antifreeze, motor oil, tires, automotive batteries and more will be accepted. Latex paint will not be accepted. For a list of the acceptable items, visit www.peoriaaz.gov/hazwaste. Be sure to bring a Peoria utility bill with you as proof of residency. For specific questions, call 623-773-7431 or email recycling@peoriaaz.gov.

The City of Peoria receives three top environmental awards and an honorable mention.
