Well are you ready? Is your shopping done? Relax, you have three days left, plenty of time! You already know that if you have young children and are a working parent, you’re going to be up half the night on Christmas Eve wrapping and assembling anyway. Ah the good old days… thank goodness my children are all grown. Now we all sit around, enjoy our favorite adult beverage and watch Christmas movies.
Hopefully you attended our fun networking mixer last Thursday, December 15 at
Laser Quest at 35th Avenue and Peoria. To increase the holiday spirit, we invited two other Chambers to join us, the Phoenix Metro Chamber and the North Phoenix Chamber.
By combining the three Chambers in to one event, there were over 60 people in attendance. A delicious variety of food was donated by
Tilted Kilt, our Peoria Chamber member, and Outback Steakhouse, a member with the Phoenix Metro Chamber. Several groups of people enjoyed lively games of laser tag dressed in full battle regalia darting in and out of hiding places and zapping fellow competitors as they went.
Everyone had a great time and took advantage of the opportunity to make new friends while building business contacts and referral partners. Make sure you join us at our next mixer.
Had the pleasure on Monday of attending the soft training opening for
Giordano’s, the new Chicago pizzeria
well known for their deep dish pan pizza. If you are a Chicago native, you will not be disappointed. The pizza was fantastic, with a light crust and delicious ingredients. The only difference is that the temperature was 73 degrees instead of -20 with a foot of snow!
When you go, ask for
Vicki Cooper, the General Manager. She is smiling, happy and outgoing, not to mention obsessed with making sure every customer has an amazing, unforgettable experience. Tell her you are with the Chamber and how happy we are they have joined us in Peoria’s P-83 District.
Had a short business meeting at the new restaurant
Revolu – a modern taqueria and bar, in the former Barrel Grill space next to Humble Pie. They’ve just opened and all I can say is you need to go here.
Jeremiah & Deena Gracia are the owners and Jeremiah is the chef who has created some of the tastiest dishes and salsas you can imagine. The menu has a wide variety of unique versions of street tacos and the prices are very reasonable. Next, I’ll check out their margaritas and report back!
I want to personally wish everyone and very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! This is a special time to create and share memories and remember those who are gone or not as lucky to be surrounded by family and friends.
