Dear Citizen/Business Community Leader,
The City of Peoria is currently updating its General Plan, which sets the community’s vision for next 10 to 20 years and beyond. This comprehensive document guides all aspects of the city such as growth, redevelopment, economic development, city services, parks and open space, health and safety, public facilities, the natural environment and more. You are invited to help shape Peoria’s future and be part of the General Plan Update!
The update to the General Plan is a multi-year process known as PlanPeoriaAZ. One of the most critical elements of the update process is community engagement to help create a community-based general plan that builds consensus, obtains buy-in and supports future implementation efforts. Accordingly, participation and input from all of the community is vital to the success of the new General Plan.
The City is holding its second series of community workshops at three different locations for your convenience. The details are posted on the homepage of the project website: www.PlanPeoriaAZ.com On the webpage, you can sign up to be on our email notification list to hear about other upcoming community outreach dates, and you can even send us comments/share your thoughts throughout the project. The same information will be presented at each meeting, so you only need to attend one. We even have a kid’s area with activities and games for our smallest residents.

This is a great opportunity to share your ideas on what makes a great neighborhood, where housing/commercial/employment growth should occur within the city, and where transportation improvements should be focused at.
Because this is a unique opportunity, we want to get the word out. Please forward this email to other residents/groups/organizations that you think may be interested in participating! No RSVP is required, but it would be helpful if you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you or someone you know is coming to a particular meeting, so that we can gauge interest.
