Chamber News 12.11.19 Advocate ~ Build ~ Connect

CEO's Corner - A Message from Scot Andrews

A word from YOUR CEO ~
Over the last four months we have worked hard to build a team the serves our members first. We have done that. Everyday we reflect on the needs, wants and even the unspoken wants of our business members. I recall a quote that is indicative of our new philosophy and culture at the Peoria Chamber of Commerce. "Inclusive means including all people and thinking; anything else is exclusive".

We value input to be better for you, our members. Give us input! We won't let you down!

Last, I'd like to recognize our great members who have invested in us both financially and with time and attention over the last few months. And those members who have gone above and beyond to invest in our Peoria 1st Responders by purchasing a registration for the golf tournament on their behalf!  You know who you are. And we can't thank you enough!

A Request...

Our ask....please bring an item with you to one of our upcoming event. You can check the list of items by family we have posted or bring unwrapped gift or generic gift card that one of the Peoria Unified School District families would be able to use this year to brighten their holiday. We are also collecting items until the 20th at the Chamber office.

We're asking for your help so we can exceed expectations and fulfill the lists for these 40 deserving families that otherwise may go without.

Let's open our hearts and make this a special holiday! We sincerely appreciate your support and know how generous our members are in stepping up when the community is in need!

Thank You!

Meet Your Member - Your CBD Store Peoria

My name is Yariela Poureetezadi. I decided to open Your CBD store in Peoria for a couple of different reasons. One of the main reasons is because of my family. I have several family members that suffer from chronic pain. After every prescription drug on the market failed to relieve their pain, we turned to CBD. Your CBD products have led to many pain free days for my husband and my daughters grandmother. My daughter was offered a franchise opportunity by Sun Med CBD company and we decided to go for it. We believe that CBD has helped our family with so many issues and we just really wanted to share this with our community.

We also wanted to get the word out that CBD products do not require a medical card. Anyone can purchase CBD. Our products are derived from 100% organic,non-gmo industrial hemp. We carry tinctures, water solubles, creams, and much more. Come in for a free sample and find out how CBD  can change your life.

Your Help is Needed – Luke Air Force Base Targeted Growth Management Plan

The Luke Air Force Base Targeted Growth Management Plan is being conducted by MAG, the Maricopa Association of Governments.
The purpose is to twofold: Enforce the idea that the West Valley communities support Luke Air Force Base and its mission and provide valuable information to Luke Air Force Base pilots, personnel and their dependents on the West Valley amenities and opportunities.
I was at the stakeholder meeting in September and in November.  There was one glaring information gap, private post-secondary education opportunities.  As we know there are businesses and professions that require certification in skills or knowledge.
I need your help to provide this important and valuable information. Please send me names and locations of private post-secondary schools you are familiar with in the West Valley and Peoria by December 31st so Luke personnel and their dependents understand the job and education opportunities awaiting them here in Peoria and the West Valley. You can read more about the Luke Air Force Base Targeted Growth Management Plan Here.
Email Liz Recchia at Please put Luke AFB in the subject line.
